A muse for medieval anatomy studies and gothic fairy tales? Naturally. In this workshop, we’ll explore all things heart, creating assemblage pieces that range from anatomically inspired designs to more imaginative, found-object interpretations.

But why stop at the heart itself? These creations, whether tiny enough to slip into a locket or bold enough to take center stage, will be enshrined in chambers full of meaning, mystery, and maybe just a hint of drama. We’ll draw inspiration from the grandeur of cathedrals, the intricate beauty of reliquaries, and the wild melancholy of fairy tales…where pretty boxes hold rhythmic secrets, pulsing with life and mystery.

And the materials? It’s all about the thrill of discovery—whether it’s a rusted key, a forgotten trinket, or a piece of broken jewelry, these found objects will find new life in your hands. Using paint, clay, collage, and your own creative spark, you’ll bring your heart to life—figuratively speaking, of course (no CPR required).
